2: a person of mixed black and American Indian blood
The assassination of Malcolm X is a culmination of deceptions, insinuations, and inactions among Muslim Mosque Inc. and the Nation of Islam. It also highlights the huge problem of having a multiracial leader .
“Whether or not Malcolm’s own men played a role in his death, nearly all Malcolmites were convinced that law enforcement and the U.S. government were extensively involved in the murder. Peter Bailey, for example, charged in a 1968 interview that the NYPD and the FBI “knew that brother Malcolm’s destiny was assigned for assassination.” (Marable P.454)
Malcolm was stalked and killed by NOI , possibly MMI members because Malcolm X left the Nation of Islam.
It was inside the Audubon Ballroom, in front of a wooden lectern, adoring women, focused men, and bored children that Malcolm X stood to read his last speech, a final bid to express his reevaluations and solutions to African peoples world problems.
However, he was the wrong leader – imposed or chosen – for African people in the Americas . Indeed, his death has made him a false martyred African nationalist, a man who belonged to a religious organization which refused to recognize African Americans who the NOI asserted to speak for – as direct decedents of Africans from the continent.
Thus from that back story alone we realize Malcolm is a Griffe and Malcolm X was unable to carve out a plan focused on liberating African people from up under European hegemony because his ideology was not grounded in knowledge of African peoples’s unique genetic, psychological, and historic ancestry.
Hopefully in the future Malcolm X can be recognized by Authentic Africans (people with brown to black skin and African textured hair) as a Griffe – multiracial person who meant well but was politically incompatible to represent a unique Geno-Cultural Group such as the African American.
